The bridge carrying the A6097 over the River Trent, looking north from Manor Lane (the road to Shelford). In the parapet abutment on the right is the stone embossed with the Notts County Council coat of arms of the day (now obsolete). The white building behind it is the Unicorn Inn on the north bank of the river.
