Clumber Street
Nottingham
England
Clumber Street was at one time called Cow Lane. It was widened in 1812 by 16 feet with land given by the Duke of Newcastle of Clumber Park and was renamed Clumber Street as a compliment to him. Modern-day Clumber Street is pedestrianised and is said to be one of the busiest thoroughfares in the whole of Europe.
