The old Lewis and Grundy building with the wonderful old clock. The clock was made for the Ironmongers Lewis and Grundy by G. & F. Cope & Co. Ltd (Who also made the clock for the Council House) c. 1950. The two blacksmiths would strike out the quarter hours and hours by hammering on the anvil. The building is now a licensed house, and currently in use as a quirky gothic pub called the Pit and Pendulum (2013).
