The Museum of Costume and Textiles in Castle Gate displays costumes from 1790 to the mid 20th century and presented in a series of atmospheric period room authentically furnished and decorated. Hand made lace from all parts of the world dates from the 16th century. There are tapestries dating from 1632 plus clothing through the ages.
