Garner's Hill Park
Nottingham
England
In the Lace Market, Garner's Hill Park was just a piece of wasteland. About 1975 it was laid out as a rest garden with shrubs, tress, etc. Nottingham City Council planned to develop shops and offices on the site and the people of Nottingham were fighting the proposals. It became a wild bird sanctuary and rare species are known to frequent the park.
