Farndon Mill was owned by Horace Stray, brother of Joseph Stray who kept the animal feed shop in Boar Lane, Newark. The mill ground corn and pigmeal for local farmers. In the mid 1920s Mr Stray emigrated to New Zealand and the mill fell into disrepair. Today only the brick tower remains, much dilapidated. Seen here left of the mill is Horace Mills' basket manufactory.
