Newark Castle railway station
Newark on Trent
England
The disused goods warehouse at Newark Castle station, looking north and showing the eastern elevation. In 1846 the Midland Railway's Nottingham-Lincoln line was the first railway to reach Newark, although this building was erected later. At the date of this photograph the entire goods yard at Newark Castle was derelict but the site was later redeveloped with the goods warehouse converted into apartments.
