Bishop White's Library in the Parish Church of St Mary Magdelene. This 17th century library of ecclesiastical tracts is located in a room over the South Porch. Bishop White was Archdeacon of Nottingham and Bishop of Peterborough. Between 1660 and 1665 he was Vicar of Newark and bequeathed his library to the church where it is maintained to this day.
