This copy of the photograph cannot be copied for commercial use, but a similar image showing the Arcade is available for copying by all at picture number NCCN000111. There is a slightly earlier photograph than this one here, at NCCN000441. Also note here the Lyons Corner House tea shop on the right. It is not known what the group of men were doing standing in the road, but it is a possibility that this picture might be at the time of the General Strike of 1926, with workers in the local coal mines who would have been greatly affected by this.
