Looking down Kilton Hill from the lower junction of Kilton Crescent, under the arch is the junction of Kilton Road. To the immediate left is what used to be a newsagents and is now a Pizza takeaway. The train is heading towards Retford and is hauled by an English Electric (E.E.)Type 3 diesel-electric ('type' indicates the power classification, on a scale of 1 to 5; the higher the number, the more powerful the class. E.E. were the builders). During the 1960's these locomotives' were frequently seen in this locality.
