The shop was owned by The Worksop and Retford Brewery Co Ltd. Mr Greatorex was the Agent. It sold tea, wines and spirits and general grocery. Note the huge teapot on the roof to the right of the photograph. The people named are: 1st left, A H Hewitt, 2nd left, John H Saxton, 9th left, W T Brown,10th left. Willey Greatorex is 11th from the left (under the Pure Cocoa sign and to the right and slightly back from a man in a suit). Others in the picture include: ? Alletson, A Caudwell, ? Gibson, H Latham, T Major, Joseph Saxton, J Snow, ? Spawl, ? Walters. The premises were subsequently occupied by Mr George Clark, cabinet maker and furnisher, and Ron Woodhall's organ centre.
