The five views show: St Swithin's Church (East Retford Church), first mentioned in 1258, later rebuilt in 1658 and then again in the 19th century. Market Square on market day. St Michael the Archangel's Church (West Retford Church), noted for its 14th century crocketed spire. Most of the church body is from the 16th century. Bottom left is Trinity Hospital, founded in 1666, added to 1823-33 and 1872, Bottom right is King Edward Grammar School which moved to a new site on London Road in the 1850s.
