Bridge Street
Worksop
England
At the middle of Bridge St looking down. Showing The Wheatsheaf pub on the right. See NCCN000477 for the same location in 1953. The clump of trees was the Garden of 'Netherholme', a house that was demolished to make way for the current shopping centre of the same name. The photographer is Ezra Taylor who was a local photographer with his commercial studio in Bridge Place. He sold his photographs as 1d postcards. Most of the old Edwardian images of Worksop which can be seen on the collection here are probably his.
