Rectory Road
Retford
England
St Michael the Archangel's Church, West Retford. The church is notable for its distinguished 14th century crocketed spire, with broaches below the parapet and small flying buttresses. It was originally a rectory of medieties, founded nearly in the thirteenth century, and the patronage shortly after became vested in the family of the Hercys of Grove. The body of the church is certainly not older than the sixteenth century.
