This building was used as a clubhouse from 1856 to 1920, when a new village hall was opened on London Lane. The whole of the upper floor was the clubroom, and access was by stone steps in the centre of the other side of the building. The stone in the centre of the gable above the upper windows is embossed 'JFI 1856'.
