Sutton Bonington
England

The oldest part of the hall is believed to be the present pantry with walls that are 3 feet thick, probably there when Sir Thomas Parkyns bought the Manor in 1698. Most of the Hall was erected by Beaumont Parkyns in the reign of Queen Anne. In 1825 the house was bought by the Pagets, a Loughborough family of merchant hosiers and bankers. It was further enlarged in the 1870s by Sir Ernest Paget.
