Seen from the east side of Humber Road Bridge. Text written by photograph, Reg Baker, in 1976: Built on site of the Creosote Works (railway owned for creosoting timber, sleepers etc). Left is what was the wagon repair sidings, and University Park. Right is the main line, occupied by the Nottingham to London train, and the Mid-City Trading & Industrial Estate, which extends east to Lenton Lane. Dominating the right edge is North Wilford Power Station.
