The railway bridge carried the fast line to London via Melton Mowbray, which opened in 1879.The line joined the London via Leicester line at Oakley junction, just north of Bedford. This view is taken from near the Muster's Road intersection. Through the arch is Glebe Road (left) and Melton Road shopping centre (opened in the 1930s). The bridge was demolished over the weekend of 18-19th January 1975.
