Remains of the Midland Railway bridge over Bridgford Road; view towards Central Avenue from Millicent Road. The railway bridge carried the fast line to London via Melton Mowbray, which opened in 1879.The line joined the London via Leicester line at Oakley junction, just north of Bedford.
