The north side of the Arnold to Eppestone Road, seen from the northwest. In the foreground is the original worked out clay quarry. The clay is brought from a quarry on the south side of the road. The two white objects on the left are not traction engines, but oil storage tanks for the oil-fired kilns. The word 'patent' concerned the process of brickmaking, not the type of brick produced. The word is to be removed from the Company's registered trade name. Text provided by the photographer, Reg Baker, at the time the photograph was taken.
