Mary Mallatratt (nee Fletcher), born 24th September 1844 at the 'Duke of Sussex Inn' Fulwood, Sutton in Ashfield. She married George Mallatratt on the 21st April 1874. He was born 1st Sept. 1832 at Keirs Buildings, Westgate, Mansfield. In his late twenties, George purchased the Old Blue Boar Inn on Stockwell Gate and was the Landlord until his death on 26th Dec 1888 from Pneumonia and Diabetes. George and Mary had one child (George Fletcher Mallatratt) in 1876 when she was 32. But the child died of convulsions aged 7 months. In his will, George asked for a stained glass window to be placed in his memory in 'The Old Meeting Hall' where he and his wife attended. Mary his wife, being brought up in a pub, was an ideal partner for George and continued to run the 'rebuilt' Old Blue Boar for another two and a half years until her death on the 26th July 1891 at the age of 46 years.
