Formerly the town house of Samuel Brunts, founder of the charity which still bears his name, and which still flourishes. He died in 1711. The carrier for Boughton left from here in the latter part of the 19th century, The opening on the left led to Eight Bells Court, were W Stephenson 'shoeing and general smith' was located.
