Twelve Elizabeth Heath Almshouses, built by the trustees of the Elizabeth Heath Charity in 1855 and renovated in 1960. There were six more built in Portland Street in 1844. Elizabeth Heath was a widow of Mansfield who founded these houses for twelve poor people and gave them 8 shillings apiece . They were also given coal and a coat or gown every year. Elizabeth Heath died on 24 April 1693.
