King Street
Sutton in Ashfield
England
King Street was once known as Beggar Street, but the name was changed to King Street after the restoration of the Monarchy in 1660. It is only half its original length now, running from the Market Square to the Newcastle Arms. The rest was demolished and replaced by Local Authority Flats.
