This picture shows the Great Northern Line - Leen Valley Extension. This photograph was taken about 1908 when the GNR was doing a survey of its lines. The station is in the distance and the view is looking north from a position which is in the cutting (now a footpath to Sutton) close by Pond Cottage. Just beyond the signal on the right can be seen the metal side of the bridge which crossed above Mansfield Road adjacent to Station Yard. (Additional information kindly supplied by William Taylor).
