Sutton in Ashfield
England

Brick abutments, steel girders, trough flooring, span 28ft (42ft. 6in. on skew). Constructed in 1898. Maintained by Great Northern Railway Co. Where Midland Railway met with Great Northern Railway. Bridge in background is Station Road. Based on a map of 1921, this view is taken looking towards Sutton in Ashfield, from the direction of Kirkby Hardwick. The near bridge took the track from Sutton Junction along the 'Penny Emma' line to Sutton Town, and the distant bridge is Station Road. The lines under the bridge would eventually bring you to the GNR staion, locally called 'Northern Bridge'.
