The forge and shops stood on a site formerly occupied by Leckenby's. They were demolished in 1896 shortly after this picture was taken. From left to right the occupiers were: W Wright, fruiterer and nurseryman, a private house belonging to Mrs Rosetta Draycott, J C Draycott's Black and Shoeing Smith's shop, Number 89 and A J Cursham, Solicitor.
