Squire Robert Marsh Eckersley Dodsley was Lord of the Manor of Skegby 1845-1905 and was married to Francis Mary Miller. He died in January 1905 and she in 1931, two months before her 81st birthday. Their daugther Francis Lavinia Dodsley married the vicar of Skegby, Rev Williams who went on to become the vicar of Sutton-in-Ashfield, and afterwards was made a Canon.
