The small shop was once owned by the Shepherd sisters, paraffin was pumped by hand in the shop, ham was carved by hand too, sugar and butter was weighed up as you required, next door was Bob Martins Garage and petrol sales, he repaired and sold bicycles as well as doing car repairs.
