In an orchard believed to have been at the top of Carlisle Road. See also NCCC000443. The J Aslin pictured here was John Aslin (known as Jack) whose father, also John Aslin, was a butcher. The photograph was probably taken in their garden of the house they lived in in Carlisle Road. His butcher's shop was on Main Street, Carlton for many years.
