Mr Burgess (teacher at Robert Mellors) is 2nd from the right, middle row, and W Martin is standing with the rod of office, Front row. fifth from the right is Samuel Redgate. The church mainly dates to the mid 14th century, but was restored in 1868-9 by Scott.
