Gedling Colliery's Land-sale depot on Mapperley Plains. The coal wagons were hauled up a 1 in 10 incline from the pit by an electric winding engine. The tall building on the right contained a tippler which rotated the wagons to tip out their contents, the coal was then transferred by conveyor belt to lorries, which then transported the coal for industrial use. The lorry's weighbridge is on the left
