Construction of Kings Mill viaduct

The viaduct was for the Mansfield -Southwell Railway. This timber viaduct by Hermitage Mill was built in 1871 to avoid the tight curve approaching the old Kings Mill viaduct. This timber structure was replaced by a more conventional stone viaduct in 1899.
