This tinted postcard shows permanent way staff at Daybrook Station around 1900. In the distance is Daybrook Junction signal box built to control the junction with the Nottingham Suburban Railway (NSR), opened on 23rd November 1889. The signal box was dismantled in 1934, four years after the NSR was converted to single line operation.(Notes made from the text of Alfred Henshaw's series Great Northern Railway in the East Midlands).
