Kirkby Old Hall, also known as Sacheveral Hall or Red Hall. Richard Coke married Mary Sacheverel of Kirkby Old Hall. They lived in the house from c 1587. The last of the Coke Family was the composer Roger Sacheveral Coke. He was a personal friend of Rachmaninov by whose style he was much influenced. The house was demolished in 1963.
