Albert Cast was recruited into the RAF in November 1941.��He was trained as a wireless operator and gunner.��Deployed to Suez aboard the Athlone��Castle, then onto Bombay (Mumbai), finally arriving at��Chittagong. Role of��2739 Squadron��was to defend airfields to keep the army supplied as they advanced.
