Kirkby in Ashfield
England
The mill on the right is Fryer's Mill. The 1881 Ordnance Survey map shows the mill as Kirkby Mill (Flour). It was located down Mill Lane (near Bentinck Colliery) on the River Erewash, which it would have used as a source of water, and had a river fed mill pond to act as a reservoir to power the milling machinery.
