The large boat in the foreground was possibly a Pleasure steamer owned by Mr. George Mitchell. In the background is Mr. Mitchell's boat house that stood on the Beeston side of the river where the Marina now stands. The rowing boats in the picture were skiffs and could be hired from the boathouse.
