This photograph was taken before the Lincoln Road railway bridge was constructed and shows the crossing gates and footbridge. On the other side the Old Walnut Tree Inn can be seen. This was demolished to make way for the bridge. See 'The Newark Advertiser', 29th July 1936 and subsequent week for opening of Lincoln Road Bridge.
