Taken as part of Newark Creates, High Street, Heritage Action Zone project. Formerly the Woolpack public house, restoration, before it was renamed, revealed the timber frame of the building, dated to 1452. built for a wealthy family in the 'Wealden' style, which originated in the Wealds of Kent. only the central and right-hand bays of the building survive, the left-hand bay has been lost.
