Showing the occupant, Mr Booth, aged 83. In the background is one of the cooling towers of Staythorpe B power station. Built in 1946 the brick and asbestos clad 'A' Station was designed by Cecil Howitt with Battersea as its prototype. The 'B' Station was completed in c1960 with asbestos cladding. See photo's NCCE000056A to 57D for the demolition of the power Station chimney.
