Looking S.W. from the Fosse. Used as an antiques depot. The building of the Hall was probably begun c 1780, but in 1790 it was described as 'newly built, at present not inhabited'. It was built in plain brick for the Duncombe family (who later acquired some of the adjacent Winthorpe estate). The architect of Langford Hall was John Carr of York. The house is 3 storeys high, and 7 bays wide, with a 3 bay pedimented centre and a simple Tuscan Doric porch
