Longstone Bridge and Saw Mill

Longstone Bridge was built in 1820 by the Newark Navigation Commissioners to replace one constructed of timber dating from 1773. The bridge carries the towpath across the mill backwater. The building in the background was a water powered saw mill (it is often referred to an Newark Old Mill).
