Queen's Road
Beeston
Nottinghamshire
England
At this time, Queen's Road did not exist as part of the main Nottingham - Long Eaton through-road that we know today. It started by fields at a T junction with Dovecote lane in the SW, through to The Humber Cycle Works to the NE, at which point it became Hassocks Lane (where the traffic lights are today, at the junction with Beacon Road). It was an affluent suburban area, with an avenue of trees. The road has since been widened, which required the removal of the trees and parts of the front gardens of the houses seen here.
