Station Street terminus on 16th September, 2003 with the lift shaft framework in place. The abutment of the bridge which used to carry the Great Central Railway over Station Street and the Midland Station can be seen behind the crane. A pole with the catenary wire is already in place. A pedestrian bridge giving access to the station will span Station Street and a staircase built in the right foreground.
