Just before Bulwell Station, the railway becomes single track in order to accommodate the tramway, which becomes single track immediately beyond the platform, seen here under construction on 9th February, 2003,. Previously, the raulway was double track until Bestwood Park Junction, with a second platform where the tramway is.
