This image is dedicated to my father, Alan Rudrum, who together with his younger sister Maureen (7 & 5 years old respectively) were evacuated from Great Yarmouth to Farndon in 1940 and spent four years in the care of the Gray family at Cross Lane Farm. He later wrote, " I had become to love and respect my foster family, a family farm provides just about everything a boy might need."
