Chestnut Farm is an 18th century building on the corner of Main Street and Marsh Lane. It was once owned by the Brockton family. The barns (seen here) and other outbuilding have now (2003) been developed into a small housing estate named Morrisons Court, after the last farmer to work Chestnut Farm. In 1892-94 when alterations were being made to the parish church of St Peter in Farndon, one of the barns seen here was pressed into service as a temporary place of worship.
