Once owned by the Buck family, but latterly a tied house of Warwick's and Richardsons Brewery in Newark, the pub was known in the late 20th century as The Lazy Otter. At the time of writing (2003), however, it has reverted to its original name. (Information kindly supplied by Farndon Local History Society)
