The nave of the Parish Church of St Peter, looking east. On the right may be seen original 13th century arches, whilst those on the left date from the Victorian restoration of 1892-1894. Pevsner, meanwhile, notes that the nave roof dates from 1664. In the centre background of the picture is the east window, installed in 1893 and dedicated to the memory of Isabella Maltby (1856-1892), wife of the Revd Brough Maltby, vicar of Farndon, and instigator of the major restoration of the church in the 1890's.
